William Thomas of Hardwick, yeoman died intestate and on 19 June 1747, his son Amos Thomas of Hardwick was granted the administration of his estate.[1]
His inventory was taken on 19 June 1747 in Hardwick.[2]
In 1748, an account of his estate by Amos Thomas was recorded which included debts paid, recording deeds, and administration fees.[3]
In 1749, his estate could not be divided without spoiling the whole, so it was settled upon the eldest son, Amos, who agreed to pay the other heirs their share, viz., Zerviah, wife of Isaiah Pratt, Temperance Jordain, wife of Edmund Jordan, Hannah, wife of Isaiah Grazier, and Elizabeth, wife of Edmund Grover, Daniel Thomas, Nathan Thomas, Aaron Thomas, and Israel Thomas.[4]
