Elic was born on February 22, 1903 in Warsaw, Missouri to Robert and Katie Thompson.
He was found on the 1910 Census in Benton, Missouri, United States.[1]
On the 1920 Census, he was listed as living in Lamar, Barton, Missouri.[2]
Elic married Pearl Martha Brewer, and they had two children together. Eventually, Elic and Pearl divorced.
Elic married Gladys Mae Carroll, with whom he spent the rest of his life.
Elic and Gladys ran a bar in Coffeyville, Kansas. The bar may have been named "Bud's." (This is based on Gladys' memories later in life - she always referred to it as "Bud's". However, she did call Elic, "Bud.")[3]
He passed away on May 5, 1950 and was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Coffeyville, Montgomery County, Kansas, USA, Plot: II - 88A.[4]
