This David couldn't have been married to the Elizabeth Btockman attached as his wife, mainly because she was still alive in 1836 when she filed a petition for his pension. There must have been two different David's and two different Elizabeth's ---OR --- this David was only married to Susanna and not an Elizabeth.
On 25 October 1799, when he was in his early fifties, he married Susanna Skelton. She bore him one known child, a son whom they named Isaac.
David Thompson was a revolutionary soldier in Capt. Hogg's company of rangers in 1758, and "served in Col Boquite's company according to Jeff Carr's research of the Orange County court records of Aug. 26, 1779."[2] His war service can be read at Fold3.[3]
David Thompson Junior appears in the 1830 United States Federal Census living in a household of eleven persons, all of whom were free whites (4 males, 7 females; 6 young people, 5 adults).
