David was born about 1833. He is the son of JesseThompson and Permalia McGuire. He married Priscilla B. Wynn. The family moved to Thomas County, Georgia, along with David's siblings.
Lewis served in the Confederacy as a 3rd Corporal in Company K, 29th Regiment, Georgia Infantry.[1]
A few years after the war, he and brother, Lewis, and their families moved to Florida. By 1880, they were living in Hillsborough County, Florida.[2]
David passed away in 1896.[3]
His burial place is unknown.[4]
