There was an Abigail Thomson (or Thompson) born in Middleborough, Plymouth, Massachusetts 26 Nov 1736 and died 22 July 1789, daughter of Jacob Thomson and Elizabeth Tilson. She appears to be the Abigail matched with Samuel Forbush. She appears in many trees, but the source in every cited tree, only cites an Abigail Forbush, not Thomson or Thompson. There are Vital Records for the marriage of this Abigail Thomson to Seth Miller in 1771 in Middleborough. I conclude that Samuel did marry Abigail Forbush, probably his second cousin.

I have been unable to verify that Abigail Thompson is Samuel's wife, although many trees list her as such. Three different handwritten Vital Marriage Records for Westborough list Samuel's wife as Abigail Forbush, not Abigail Thompson. The Forbes and Forbush Genealogy also list her as Abigail Forbush. Marriage records ordinarily list the maiden name, not the married name of the wife, and I suspect Samuel's wife's LNAB really was Forbush. See Samuel's Profile for more information ...
