Biography

John Thompson (1755-1824), son of William James Thompson (1721-1775) and Jeannette 'Jane' White (1733-1807), married daughter of Joseph Barnes (1730-1826) and Susanna Cannon (1735-1773), on 26 May 1824, Pamelia Barnes, b. 22 May 1762, New Braintree, Worcester, Massachusetts,

John and Pamela had nine children:

  • Franklin - (1784-1865); mar. 1808, Julia Nason.
  • Polly - (1786- ) ; mar. int., 15 Apr. 1802, to Daniel Woods.
  • William - (1788-1875); mar., in 1812, Ormacinda Moore.
  • Isaac Denny - (1790- ); mar., in 1812, Orpha Washburn.
  • Susanna Barnes - Born 15 Aug. 1793.
  • Nancy - Born 2 May 1796; mar., 15 Nov. 1817, Tobias Bancroft, of Grafton, Vermont.
  • Amory - (1799-1865); mar. (1) 1824, Almira Gilbert; mar. (2) before 1862, Lovina Bacon, widow Blodgett.
  • Pamela - Born 14 Jul. 1801.
