Biography

Cecil William Thompson was born on 24 Oct 1907 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia as the twelfth child of William Earl Thompson and Jane Walker. He had eleven siblings, namely: Jane, William H., Hector Osborne, Cornelius John, Bertha May, Arthur Malcolm, Lea, Austin Lee, Ella Elizabeth, Coral Anne, and Vera Jane. He died on 08 Dec 1969 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. When he was 18, he married Edna May Lance,daughter of Sydney Charles Lance and Florence Amy Morris, in 1926 in Marrickville, New South Wales, Australia.

Cecil William Thompson and Edna May Lance had the following children:

  • Leonard Arthur Thompson was born on 09 Jul 1927. He married Margaret Judfith Bool in 1953 in Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia.
  • Valda May Thompson was born on 04 Dec 1934. She married Arthur William Garthon in 1958 in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia.
  • Graeme Cecil Thompson was born on 04 Mar 1944. He died on 21 Nov 1982.
