Biography

Rev. William Grayson Foote Sr. was a Methodist minister and professor of mathematics at Soule University. https://atlas.thc.state.tx.us/NR/pdfs/85000343/85000343.pdf

Wm. G. Foote came from Virginia to Texas in 1853. For several years he was professor of mathematics in Soule University. He also filled accepta- / p. 166 bly and usefully several pastoral charges. He died in1867, of consumption; "no memoir" is the statement in the minutes. "History of Methodism in Texas" Chapter 6 by Homer S. Thrall 1872
