Joseph Thompson was born about 1740.
Joseph (~25) married Sarah Hawkins (16) (born in Maryland on 8 Nov 1749; died in Manton, Washington, Kentucky, United States before <1803), daughter of Rachel Burle, on 8 May 1766 in Christ Church, Philadelphia, PA[1].
