James is born late in 1847, likely in Scarborough Township, Canada West (now Toronto, Canada) the son of Andrew J. Thomson 1825-1895 and Eliza Bell 1825-1913. James dies on January 19, 1856 and is buried in the cemetery of St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Bendale, Scarborough.
