Mr. David Thomson lived a quiet, retiring, upright life, not boasting of his charitable acts which were many. In politics Mr. Thomson was a staunch Reformer and in religion, a Presbyterian.

The funeral took place on Thursdayafternoon and was attended by many old friends and neighbours of the deceased, the Rev. R.C. McDermid conducting the service at the house and grave. Lived in Nottawasaga in 1881
