In memory of John THOMSON son to John THOMSON of Bowhill who died 8th January, 1809 aged 2 years and 6 months. Also George his son who died at Milnfield the 18th December, 1850 aged 42 years. And James his son who died at Hilltop the 8th Of July, 1851 aged 35 years. Also the above John THOMSON who died in Annan 28th of March, 1857 aged 82 years. And Jannet THOMSON his wife who died at Dumfries on the 10th of September, 1861 aged 88 years. Also John THOMSON in Mainholm who died on the 12th November, 1742 aged 63 years. And Jean CARLYLE his wife who died in 1734 aged 44 years. Also Nicholas BELL wife to the above James THOMSON who died at Hecklegirth on the 20th of December, 1895 aged 72 years.
