Biography

Janet Thomson, daughter of John Thomson and Marrion Turner was born on 12 December 1850 and baptised on 22 December 1850 in the parish of Slamannan, Stirlingshire.[1][2]

Janet married Andrew Hunter on 1 April 1870 at Greendykeside, Landward of New Monkland. They were married by Robert J Horne, Minister of Slamanan and the witnesses were Peter Turner and Janet's sister, Mary[3]

Janet died on 26 July 1921 at "Gowanlea", Glengowan, Caldercruix, by Airdrie where her death was registered a day later by her son, John.[4]

Janet and Andrew had 10 children:
