Biography

Eliza was born in 1856. She was the daughter of Thomas Thorne and Eliza Toogood. ^[1]

She married Elihu Broadbent on 1 January 1878 at the residence of Mr Thorn, Port Wallaroo, South Australia. ^[2]

Eliza died 06th January 1926, aged 70 years at Miss Lawrences Private Hospital Adelaide. ^[3]

She was not buried with her husband - Elihu - (who died some 20 years before her) and other family members, at Wallaroo. She is believed to be buried at Dudley Park Cemetery, South Australia. The grave bears no headstone. (plot #145)
