The household included James W. Parson, 61, a self-employed real estate dealer, who owned their house with a mortgage; his wife of forty years (the first marriage for both), Mary, 59, who had five living children; their son, Walter E., 26, a self-employed real estate dealer; and James Whitney Carr, James and Mary’s grandson, 7, in school. In 1920, the Parson family lived on Meridian Street, Liberty, Indiana. All members of the household were born in Indiana. The household included James W. Parson, 72, a real estate agent; his wife, Mary, 69; Minnie Parson (daughter), 30, a public school teacher; Mabel Mower (daughter), 38, a widow, and a public school teacher; and grandchildren of James and Mary: Mary T. Mower, 12, and Albert P., whose father was b. In Indiana. [6]
Mary died in 1933, and is buried with her husband at Greenlawn Cemetery, Greentown, Howard, Indiana. The Parson family plot, Section 1, Lot 39, spaces 2 - 6, contains Mary, her husband James, their daughter Minnie A. Parson (1888-1978); their son Walter, and his wife J. Parson.[7]
