She was the daughter and coheir of Gregory Thornton and Unknown (Butler) Thornton, one of the coheirs of Butler of Lund.^[1]

Armiger married William Clapham^[1] in about 1319 in Beamsley, Yorkshire, England.^{[citation needed]}

Their known child is John Clapham.^[1]
