Biography

Mark Thornton was born on 23 Sep 1686 in Farnham, Richmond, Virginia to parents Luke Thornton and Ann Hall.

Possible marriage to Mary Bruce (1692-1721) with children Mark, Mary, John, Luke, Thomas Luke. (Conflicts with her possible marriage to Henry Thomas Floyd.)

Mark died about 1721 in Farnham, Richmond, Virginia.

Mark Thornton is mentioned in the will of Mary Bruce's father Henry: "I give devise and bequeath unto my four sons Andrew, John, Joseph and Benjamin all and singular my lands tenements and herediments whatsoever and wheresoever to be equally divided between them in manner following, viz, my son Andrew to have that plantation where my father and myself formerly lived, my son John to have the plantation whereon Mark Thornton formerly lived my son Joseph to have his part between the great poquoson and the beaver dam branch and my son Benjamin to have the plantation whereon I now live..."

Mark was born in 1686. He passed away in 1721.
