Biography
Joycelyn was born about 1923 in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. She and her parents migrated to Southern Rhodesia. Joycelyn was married in 1950 to Peter Allum,[1] who later rose to fame as Commissioner of the BSA Police. They raised three children. Joycelyn returned to the land of her birth with her husband shortly after his retirement and they settled in Natal. She died in 2003, aged 80, at Westville, Durban.
