Biography

On 29 July 1850, Healy M. and Mary M. Thorp and their daughter Mary E. lived in Genesee Falls, Wyoming County, New York. Haley was a farmer.[1]

On 6 July 1860, Haley M. and Mary M. Thorp and their children Mary, Charles, Elihue B., as well as Sarah Bowen lived in Fayette, Hillsdale County, Michigan. Haley was a fanning mill man. The family owned $5,800 in real estate and $150 in personal estate.[2]

On 1 August 1870, H. M. and Mary Thorp and their children Mary E., Chas. Elihu, and Frank lived in Fayette Township. Haley was a farmer, Mary was keeping house, daughter Mary was doing housework, and Charles and Elihu were farm hands. The family owned $18,000 in real estate and $1,977 in personal estate.[3]

Haley Mars Thorp died from "Piles & Strictures" in 6 August 1878 in Fayette Township, Hillsdale County, Michigan.[4] He was buried in Sunset View Cemetery in Jonesville, Hillsdale County, Michigan.[5]
