When Louise Ellen Thrasher was born on December 17, 1849, in Wareham, Massachusetts, her father, Allen, was 29, and her mother, Louise, was 29. She married John Carl Pieplow on January 14, 1871, in Rantoul, Illinois. They had nine children in 20 years. She died on December 7, 1897, in Arkansas City, Kansas, at the age of 47.
