- LANCASTER - Mr. Jessie James Threatt, 88, of 4186 Joshua Tree Road died Saturday, May 31, 1997, at his home.
- The funeral will be 4 p.m. Monday at Cauthen Funeral Home, with the Rev. Allen T. Brazell officiating. Burial will be at High Point Baptist Church cemetery.
- Mr. Threatt had retired as a carpenter for Springs Industries.
- Surviving are his wife, Ruby Ivey Threatt; three sons, Crawford Threatt of Henderson, N.C., and Jerry Roger Threatt and Wayne Lee Threatt, both of Lancaster; two daughters, Nellie Ruth Powers and Myrtice Carter, both of Lancaster; his sister, Elizabeth Hegler of Lancaster; 33 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
- The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Cauthen Funeral Home and other times at the home. Gladys Taylor.[2]
