Biography

Deliverance Throckmorton, daughter of John Sr and Rebecca Ferrand Throckmorton, married Rev James Ashton, son of James Ashton, [1] in 1667. He was of the Baptist persuasion and died before May 19 1705 when Deliverance was named administrator of his estate.

They were the parents of:

  • Rev James of Freehold d. 1731, John of Cream Ridge d. 1744, m (1) __________ (2) Elizabeth Cole, widow of Thomas White (3) Catherine Morford, widow of Edward Taylor, [2]
  • John Ashton of Cream Ridge; died 1744[3]
