Biography

Charles Throckmorton and Grace Griffith were born and wed in Iowa. Not long after the birth of daughter Mary Elizabeth in 1910, they moved to South Dakota. In 1914 daughter Margaret Ann was born in Sioux Falls. Later the family would move to DeKalb Georgia, where daughter Dorothy Ann was born.

The year 1940 showed father Charles still in Atlanta, and mother Grace in Des Moines, Iowa with sister Dorothy.

Margaret Ann Throckmorton had wed Nunnelee "Lee" Bruner Snow,M.D., in Washington, D.C. in 1937. There is a 1940 census record showing Margaret and Lee Snow living in Washington, DC.. Noted in that census is that Dr. Lee Snow was living in DC in 1935, and Dr. Margaret Throckmorton Snow had been living in Iowa in 1935.

Margaret Ann Throckmorton Snow, M.D. was a General practice doctor for over 50 years, like her grandfather Dr. Thomas Morford Throckmorton.

Dr. Snow had 6 children other than Robert Lee: Ann Snow Hobbs,P.H.D., Carmel Jean, Carol Joan, Nancy Lee Clay, Dorothy Ann Snow, M.D., and John Charles Snow.

Dr. Snow's services ironically were held in the midst of a heavy snow storm, but it didn't keep her faithful patients away.

The Throckmorton family traces back to France, the year 1030, namely, Gervase Throckmorton.
