Job Throckmorton was born on 27 May 1761 in Freehold, Monmouth, New Jersey to parents Job Throckmorton and Mary Morford. He married firstly Mary Robinson on 29 Jul 1784 in Monmouth, New Jersey. Children: Joseph, Job, James Robinson, Eunice, Morford, Eunice, Barnes, Mary, John, Archibald, Eleanor. He died on 5 Apr 1839 in Freehold, New Jersey.

Job Throckmorton enlisted May 27, 1777, as a private, Captain Hendrick Smock's Company, First Reg., Monmouth Co., N.J. Militia, Col. Asher Holmes, and served every alternate month in 1777; six months in 1778; six months in 1779; six months in 1780, and six months in 1781, --during the Rev. War." "Throckmorton Family History with Cognate Branches", Frances Grimes Sitherwood, 1920.

The 1830 census of New Jersey shows Job in the 70-80 year old column, and listed on the same page are sons Job(III) in the 40-50 column, and son John in the 30-40 age column. There is another Throckmorton, same page not identified; Richard, aged 70-80.

FamilySearch's record search shows a birth record in Trenton, NJ for 1760 a Job Throckmorton, and a death record for Trenton, NJ for March 29, 1839 for a Job Throckmorton. These may apply to Throckmorton 595: Job Throckmorton who also lived in New Jersey.
