Joseph a miller and landowner, town clerk for meetings, Captain in militia also. He married in 1826, Adeline DeLong.[1] From March 1817 until his death in November 1862 Joseph kept a diary, recording the daily weather and local events.[2]
Joseph died in 1862 and is buried in the Norwich Village Cemetery.[3]
