Richard Throckmorton of Higham Ferrar, Northamptonshire was the second son of Robert Throckmorton of Coughton, Warwickshire and his wife, the daughter of Marowe.[1] Richard's mother, Katherine, was the sister of Thomas Marowe, serjeant at law, and the daughter of William Marowe, three times Master of the Grocers’ Company, and Lord Mayor of London in 1455, and his second wife, Katherine Rich, the daughter of the London mercer, Richard Rich.[2]
Richard was the brother of:
Sir George Throckmorton[2] who married Catherine, the daughter of the Lord Vaulx;[1]
In his will dated 31 March 1505 and proved 10 April 1505, Thomas Marowe, serjeant at law, left the following bequests to the husband and children of his sister, Katherine Throckmorton:[2]
Item, I bequeath to Sir Robert Throckmorton, knight, a plain standing cup of silver and gilt with a cover;
Item, to my nephew, George Throckmorton, a standing swaged bowl of silver parcel gilt with a cover;
Item, to my nephew, Richard Throckmorton, 40s in money;
Item, to Anthony Throckmorton and Michael, his brother, to either of them I bequeath 10 marks, to be delivered to them when they come to their lawful age;
And to every daughter of my sister, Katherine Throckmorton, unmarried, I bequeath 10 marks, and to every of her daughters married 5 marks;
Birth
Born: Say 1482.
Richard is not named in the will of his father. However, he is the second named child in the will of his uncle Thomas Marrow when he was making bequeaths to all the children of his sister Catherine (Marrow) Throckmorton. The date is estimated from the facts that his parents were married by 1479, and that he and his older brother George were both of age when Thomas Marrow made his will in 1505.

RE Richard Throckmorton
Can you give me more information on why you are changing Richard-95 c 1490 who is married to Beaufo c 1485 and making him the brother of Robert 1451?. Is he replacing Richard 1458 who is not listed on wikirees but on other genealogical sites? Will it work with the dates? What are your sources for doing this? What will this do to my gg...grandmother Goditha Throckmorton?
Thank you and lots of luck. It looks like a big job ahead of you.
