Biography
John was born about 1765 in Connecticut. He was a representative from Pomfret, VT from 1780-1 and 1792. Married Elizabeth Vail, daughter of Thomas Vail of Southold, Long Island. She died February 1822 at her brother Samuel Vail's home in Baton Rouge, LA. Children of John and Elizabeth (Vail) Throope; John, Joshua, Cynthia, Lucy and Elizabeth.
