William Throop , William Throop and Elizabeth Stanborough/Stanbury, was born 11 July 1720 in Bristol and died 29 September 1756 in Southold, Long Island. He received a B.A. from Yale in 1743. He married Mercy Mansfield, the daughter of Moses Mansfield and Margaret Prout. They had 3 sons (but the only one documented by Jacobus was John Rutherford Throop).[1]
