Matthew married Anne Thompson on 26 September 1701 at Burnsall, Yorkshire[1].
At the end of his life Matthew was a weaver living at Winterburn[2].
Matthew was buried on 8 February 1741/2 at St Andrew's Church, Gargrave[2].
Throop is translated into Throup in later generations and in some transcribed records. Sources for the spelling "Throop" are son George's baptism (1703)[3] and burial in 1741[2].
Research Notes
Detail on location, occupation and wife's name in various children's baptisms are: George (no location or occupation specified, wife "An"), Thomas and William (no location or occupation specified, wife "Ann", similarly in Thomas's burial) - I am collating this to summarise in the biography.
