I am trying to find out more about my maternal Grandmothers ancestors, in particular the Hancox and Hawkins families from Tipton and West Bromwich in Staffordshire in the early to mid 1800's.
STRADBROKE_ISLAND
I am trying to find my Grandmothers father. Stradbroke Island is where my grandmothers maternal family were from. Her ancestors are of mixed aboriginal and other descent. I'd love to collaborate with anyone else who is researching in particular the Quandamooka people of Moreton Bay.

Thanks for signing the Honor Code, Graham. I hope you discover as much about your family as I have about mine over the last several years.

One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that I found very helpful. I hope that you will too.

Hi again Graham,

Another of the things I do as a Greeter is help people who use the Anonymous surname which is reserved for the privatizing of living people. Since both profiles you used it with (Maria Rosa (?) Brown and Ann (?) Finney) are long deceased, I'm guessing you used Anonymous because their maiden names are Unknown. In that case, according to the guidelines for required name fields, the word Unknown should be used. Would you please change their Last Names at Birth (LNAB) to Unknown. You'll find the "edit" LNAB link by clicking the Edit tab on their profiles.

Please let me know if you have any questions,

Debi
