Biography

He was born May 18, 1818 in Richmond, Henrico county, Virginia. [1][2][3]

He married Louisa Graham February 2, 1841 In Lynchburg, Bedford county, Virginia.[4][5][6]

The 1850 census enumerated on August 21, 1850 shows he was a shoemaker in Northern Divison, Bedford county, Virginia.. .[7].[8]

The 1860 census enumerated June 28, 1860 indicates he was living in Newtonville, Caswell county, North Carolina.[9][10]

The 1870 census enumerated August 1, 1870 shows he was living in Hillsdale, Guilford county, North Carolina and was working as a shoemaker.[11][12]

The 1880 census enumerated on June 18, 1880 shows he was living in Jonesboro, Craighead county, Arkansas and working as a farmer.[13][14]


He died May 8, 1882 in Jonesboro, Craighead county, Arkansas. [15] He is buried in City Cemetery on West Matthews in Jonesboro, Craighead county, Arkansas.
