Martha was born in 1835. Her parents were Merril M. Tidwell and Millia Tidwell who lived in Fayette County, Georgia. [1][2] Martha's father was an Attorney-at-law.
Stockton Fears and Martha E. Tidwell were married 4 January 1866 in Fayette County, Georgia. [3]
In 1870 Stockton and Martha have two young children and are living in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. Stockton's occupation is Lawyer. [4]
The 1880 census shows that Stockton has moved his family from Georgia to Sherman, Grayson County, Texas. There are six children ranging in age from 13 down to 2 years old. Stockton's wife is still listed as Martha. [5]
She passed away in 1884 in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
