William Charles Tidwell was born November 21, 1899 to William Tidwell and Mary Lawrence in Independence County, Arkansas.

He married Vergie Delora Thompson on November 24, 1926 in Izard County, Arkansas.^[1] They divorced on August 25, 1975 in Arapahoe, Colorado.^[2] Their children were:

1. William "Bill" Roy Tidwell

He died, at the age of 81, on April 1, 1981 in Piggott, Arkansas.^[3]
