"Tess E. Tidwell Breinholt, 59, of 1135 N. Cherry Lane, Provo, died of cancer Monday, Dec. 29, 1975 at her home. She was born Oct. 12, 1916 in Moroni, Sanpete County, to Wilford Lewis and Macel Cook Tidwell. She married Floyd E. Breinholt on June 12, 1939 in the Manti LDS Temple. Mrs. Breinholt attended school in Latuda, Carbon County, and later in Moroni, where she was valedictorian of her high school graduation class. She attended LDS Business College and Brigham Young University. For many years, she was secretary to the Sanpete County agricultural agent in Manti, and also worked in Manti Savings Bank. After she and her husband moved to Provo, Mrs. Breinholt worked as senior accountant during the construction of Geneva Steel Co. Prior to her recent illness, she was secretary of the English Department at BYU. Active in the LDS Church, she was a stake missionary, officer and teacher in the YWMIA, Primary and Relief Society. She was a member of Oak Hills Second Ward. Survivors include her husband; three daughters and one son, Chaplain (Capt.) Mark F. Breinholt, Fort Carson, Colo.; Mrs. Jerrold R. (Karen Marie) Morgan, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Craig R. (Mace) Rich, Orem; Lesa Tess Breinholt, Provo; 11 grandchildren; two brothers and one sister, Lynn W. Tidwell, Ogden; Don Tidwell and Mrs. Avon T. (Jean) Francis, both of Bountiful. Funeral services will be held Friday at noon in the Oak Hills Second Ward Chapel, 1600 N. 900 E., under the direction of Bishop Thales Smith. Friends may call at Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 E. Center St., Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday at the ward chapel one hour prior to services. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Hills."
