Biography
Karl Axel Tigerström was born on March 13, 1860 in Arby parish, Kalmar län, Sweden. He was the son of teacher Johan Alexander Tigerstrand and his wife Sofia Christina Rosenqvist.[1]
After his mother's death in 1881, his father and siblings emigrated to the US in 1882 and 1883, but he and his family stayed on in Sweden.
