Biography

6 Jun 1825 Born to Nils Tigerstrand and his wife Beata Sofia Kastman at Applarum no 3 in Torsås parish, Kaömar, Sweden.. .[1][2][3]

29 Dec 1848 Married Sofia Maria Rosenquist in Arby församling, Kalmar [4]

1880 - Migrated from Sweden to USA. [5]

According to Swedish household examinations books he emigrated to the US in 1883 with his sons Claes Otto Emil and Algot Ferdinand after his wife passed away in 1881. His son Per Oscar and daughter Hilma Anna Beata had left for the US the year before, in 1882.[6]

1900 - Widower. Lived with his sons family in Denver city, Arapahoe, Colorado [Source: United States Census 1900]

Died in 1910 as he is buried Dec 10, 1910 at Riverside Cemetery in Denver, Denver County, Colorado, USA.[7]

Research Notes

A third son is mentioned on a Ancestry forum. "Alfred Ossian (d. 1940) married Susan Roscorla (d. 1909);" Could it be this Alfred Tigerstrand?
