Biography

In the summer of 1893 George and Martha Tiller moved to Frontier County Nebraska with a team of mules hitched to a covered wagon. Their son Ira died in an accident one month prior to their move to Nebraska and is buried in Hackney Cemetery, Jasper County Missouri. They drove mules for 19 days before they reached Frontier County, twenty miles northeast of McCook. George's father told them they would starve to death if they went there. He passed away in 1949.
