North Platte Dailey Telegraph (North Platte, Nebraska) 10 October 1938 p. 3, col. 6: Joseph M. Tillery Found Dead At Home. Joseph Marion Tillery, 89, was found dead Sunday in the garage of his daughter's home at 415 South Chestnut street. The cause of death was unknown. Mr. Tillery, a retired well operator, had made his home North Platte for the past ten years, coming here from Lexington where he had resided for forty years. He was born October 14, 1848 at Chillicothe, Mo. Survivers include five daughters, Mr. Rose Brestel, North Platte; Mrs. Margaret Kugel, Holstein, Ia.; Mrs. Minnie Hauster (sic?), Murray, Utah; Mrs. Clara Rogers, McCook, and Mrs. Ralph Bellamy, at whose home he died; three sons, Jack of Omaha; Edwin of Lexington; Dewey of North Platte; fifteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren....Burial will be in the Lexington cemetery....
