William Lafayette Tillery, son of William Henry Tillery and Elizabeth Jane (Womack) Tillery, was born on 21 July 1853 at Grangeville, St. Helena Parish, Louisiana.[1]
He married Sallie Thompson Davis, daughter of William Kendrick and Sarah Ann Jane (Cain) Davis, on 25 Dec. 1879[1] probably in St. Helena Parish, Louisiana.
He was a farmer when he and Sallie appeared on the census of 29 June 1880 in the home of her father and step-mother at St. Helena Parish, Louisiana.[2]
William died on 29 Sep. 1823 at Greensburg, St. Helena Parish, Louisiana and was buried at Womack Cemetery, Greensburg, St. Helena Parish, Louisiana. His memorial has biographical material and links to those of family members.[1]
