Biography
Janke Tilstra was born in Wonseradeel, Friesland, Netherlands, on October 6, 1842, to Folkert Klazes Tilstra and Martha Annes Feenstra.[1]
On May 5, 1866, twenty-three year old Janke married Douwe Baarda, the twenty-six year old son of Symon Douwes Baarda and Rinske Klazes Tilstra, in Wonseradeel, Friesland.[2]
Children of Janke and Douwe include:

- Folkert Baarda - 1868-02-13[4] - 1886-05-04[5]
- Rinske Baarda - 1869-04-29[6]
Janke died in Schraard, Friesland, on August 11, 1876, at the age of thirty-three.[7]
