Biography
Birth
- Tristram Tilton was born at Chilmark, Massachusetts, on 19 Nov 1788, the son of Ward Tilton and Elizabeth "Betsey" (Chase) Tilton.[1]
Marriages
- On 18 Dec 1818, Tristram Tilton and Rebecca Chase, both of Livermore, Maine (then in Massachusetts) published at Livermore their intention to marry.[2] They married there on 31 Dec 1818.[1][3]
- Tristram Tilton married Betsey Towns in Kennebec County, Maine (probably at East Livermore) on 13 May 1846.[4]
Death
- Tristram Tilton died at East Livermore, Maine, on 21 May 1861, and he is buried at the Hillman Ferry Cemetery in Livermore, Maine, where his gravestone gives his age at his death as 72.[5]
