Biography
James Tilton was born about 1706, the second son of John Tilton. He is known solely because his name was appended to a 1772 deed for land once owned by his father, John Tilton. He may have died young.
This James Tilton must be distinguished from [[Tilton-1593|James Tilton], Surgeon General of the United States Army, who was born in 1745 - probably his nephew.
