She was born October 13, 1880 in Fredonia, and spent her entire life there before moving to Elsie. She was the daughter of James and Myra (Allen) Tilton. She was married to Alfa Omega Simmons, Oct. 20, 1898 in Marshall. He died Jan. 3, 1927. She was a member of the Women’s Relief Corps in Elsie. Surviving are one son, Clarence Simmons of Fredonia; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Kittie Nelson of Albion; and several^ nieces and nephews.
