James Russell Timmons was born on 11 August 1909^{[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]} in Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio, United States^{[1][2][4][5][6][7]}. He was the son of James Herbert Timmons^{[1][2][3][4][5][10][11]} and Emily Claren O'Bannon^{[1][2][3][4][5][10][11]}.

QUESTION 1: There is a Margaret (MacPherson) Timmons (1911 - 1980) in the same cemetery. Is she somehow related? ANSWER-YES the memorial for her has since been updated to include a transcription of her obituary which specifically mentions all three sisters of James as survivors.

James married Mary Mabel Remington^[11] on 14 June 1941 (single on the 1940 census and married on the WWII enlistment records).

QUESTION 2: James and his 1st wife (Mary) share a tombstone with a Mabel Mills Rohrbach (1819-1980). Who is she? and how is she related? (Mabel Mills Rohrbach is the mother of James wife Mary Remington (per the obituary of Mary Remington Timmons from Sarasota Herald-Tribune.)
