He married Julia Ann Short in Starke County, Indiana on 12 Dec 1856^[2]

They had at least 2 children: Silas Leonard Timmons (about 1865) and Jessie Timmons (about 1860)

After the death of Julia, Silas married Eveline Meeks Sloop and they had children: ^[3]
