Biography

Toliver Timmons' father, Samuel Timmons, married Nancy (possibly Green) in Frederick Virginia about 1747.

Toliver married Miriam Stokes about 1770 in Frederick Virginia. Their first two children (John T. and Stephen) were born in Virginia. About 1794 the family moved to Kentucky. Their children Catherine, Thomas and Elijah were born in Kentucky. (need a source)

• Parents of Toliver: Frank Corum, author of "Captain George Timmons - Fact and Fiction" has conducted research that strongly suggests that the parents of George, Tolliver and other brothers and sisters were Samuel Timmons and Nancy. While the proof is not concrete, it is strongly suggestive, is supported by several documents and I have accepted the results of Corum's research until more substantive documents are presented.
