Able was born about 1679.

He was baptised on 16 February 1678/1679 at Kirkburton, Yorkshire, "Abel son of John Tinker of Snowgate Head".^[1][2]

Probable marriage to Sarah Bray 13 November 1705 at Kirkburton.^[3]

Research Notes

Children born after the marriage at Kirkburton 1705 are of "Carr in Shepley".^[5] There is a probate of will February 1739/1740 for Abel Tinker of Carr, Kirkburton, which would fit the date of death given here.^[6]

Abel Tinker of Carr, Kirkburton, who died 1739 is probably not the same person who had a daughter Hannah in Wakefield 1731 as Abel Tinker of Wakefield had children regularly until at least 1743, after this Abel Tinker had died.^[7]
