  1. ) Last Will of John Tinker;
    In the name of God, Amen. I John Tinker of Freetown in the County of Cortland and State of New York, yeoman, do make this my last will and Testament in manner and form following:

    First, I resign my soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping and believing in a remission of my sins by the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ; And my body I commit to the earth to be buried at the discretion of my Executor herein after named, and my worldly estate I give and devise as follows:

    First I give and devise to my youngest daughter, Olive Crosby, all that piece or parcel of land bought of Daniel Cady lying north and running west far enough to contain Sixty acres and one fourth joining the twenty five acres I no live on, including all of said piece of land lying west of the road, being the same more or less, to have and to hold to my daughter Olive Crosby, her heirs and assigns forever.~

    Also I give and devise to my daughter Rosanna Holly twenty five acres of land where I now live , being the north half of fifty acres formerly deeded to me by Joseph Holly and also thirty four acres of land deeded to me by Lewis and Sarah Maybury on lot number 24 in Freetown, to have and hold to my said daughter Rosanna Holley, her heirs and assigns forever.~

    Also I give and devise unto my daughter Parthene's heirs twenty five dollars.~

    And also I give unto my daughters Caty Judd, Lucinda Toby, Lucy Durham, twenty five dollars each to be paid in property by my said Executor.~

    Also all the residue and remainder of all my estate real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever, not herein otherwise effectually disposed of, after paying debts, legacies, & funeral expenses, as aforesaid, -- I do give and devise to my said daughter Rosanna Holley her heirs and assigns.

    And Lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint Isaac Holley, my son in law Executor and Rosanna Holley, Executrix of his my last will and testament, and in case either Executor or Executrix should decease, the survivor shall be sole Executor or Executrix.~

    In witness whereof I have herewith set my hand and seal this first day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty. ~ John Tinker L. S.
