Biography

Alexander Tinney was born in 1908 in Chandos Township, Peterborough County, to William Henry Tinney and Agnes Golden. He was with his parents in Faraday Township, Hastings County, in 1911 and 1921. In 1934 he married Minerva Vader in Bancroft, Faraday Township. They farmed in Bancroft; in 1963 he was listed as foreman (rather than farmer). By 1972 he was retired. They had two children. He died in 1992 and was buried in Lower Faraday Township.
