Walter Howard Tinney[1] was born in May 1889 in Georgia, the child of Amariah Tinney and Susan Ridgeway[2]. He married Mary Ann Hendrix on December 29, 1912, in Walker, Georgia. He died on February 8, 1946, in Chattooga, Georgia, at the age of 56, and was buried there[3].
